T-SHAPED WHAT?

What's a T-shaped professinal anyway you ask? Well, there are various explainations, but basically it all boils down to this, as for example explained by Michigan State University, famous for their yearly T-summit and T-academy:

Currently higher education is producing I-shaped graduates, or students with deep disciplinary knowledge. T-shaped professionals are characterized by their deep disciplinary knowledge in at least one area, an understanding of systems, and their ability to function as “adaptive innovators” and cross the boundaries between disciplines.

Impressive, isn't it! Let's see what Harvard has to add:

What makes T-shaped individuals so effective at what they do is that they are immensely empathetic, having a keen sense of other's perspectives. A T-shaped professional can see through others’ eyes, walk in their shoes, listen actively, and create solutions that build on their ideas.

Well, while I'd probably not be able to phrase it like that, some do praise me for having those skills. I can't say if it is just some innate "skillset" or the melange of a language specialiced high school and my technical studies. Maybe it's just coincidence? Frankly, I do not openly oppose those who dare to try to put me in that particular pigeonhole...
